Who should this digital teaching resource be used with? (ie year/grade)

Use with students and families for all year levels particularly at primary school level (R-7).

How should it be used? (e.g. individual, whole class)

Use for whole class with individual access for students and families. Entries can be shared or private and be used to upload homework, routines and reminders.

Which subject or learning area would it be most appropriate to use in?

This would support all learning areas within the Australian Curriculum (Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority, 2012) and the school values particularly around communicating with families.

Identify the strengths of this teaching resource

Children develop their technology skills through needing to check their account each day. It provides open communication between teacher and families as well as giving the families an insight into the classroom each day. It is an easy resource to use, upload information and share homework, if any.

Identify any weaknesses of this teaching resource

Families not having the technology in their own homes to be able to access the materials and needing to ensure once the commitment has been made for the teacher to upload information, keeping up with this.

Explain any ideas you may have for further use of this teaching resource

This would continue to be used,  no matter what year level, and throughout the year continue to add resources to it for the students and the families. I would like this to be seen as a one stop shop for students and families with everything to do with the class available in there.
